College Rules, Code of Conduct & Student Guidelines

1. General Rules & Code of Discipline

Mandatory Institutional Uniform Code

Girls: White Kameez, White Shalwar, White Dupatta, and Black flat shoes.
Boys: White Shirt, Grey Trousers, and Black shoes.
* During winters, students are required to wear a plain Black sweater or coat. Entry without proper uniform is strictly prohibited.
  • Campus Entry: No outsider is allowed to enter the college premises without a valid reason and prior permission from the Principal.
  • Roll Strike-Off: If a student remains absent without prior authorized leave for more than 14 consecutive days, his/her name shall be struck off the college rolls.
  • Assemblies & Strikes: Unlawful assemblies, strikes, or unauthorized gatherings inside the campus are strictly prohibited.
  • Campus Cleanliness & Property: Writing graffiti on walls, defacing college property, or pasting unauthorized posters is a cognizable offense and subject to disciplinary action/fine.
  • Examination Ethics: Students resorting to unfair means (UFM) in examinations are liable to strict academic penalties, debarment, and issuance of a bad character certificate.
  • College Withdrawal: A student seeking withdrawal from college rolls must submit a formal application countersigned by parents/guardians.
  • Clearance & Re-admission: A clearance certificate is issued only after clearing all pending dues. Withdrawn students are not eligible for re-admission during the same academic session.
  • Security Deposit Refund: Caution money/security deposit refunds must be claimed within six months of leaving the college; unclaimed amounts lapse automatically.
  • Administrative Discretion: The administration reserves the right to amend, update, or suspend any regulation as deemed necessary.

Zero Tolerance: Complete Ban on Ragging

Ragging in any form is entirely prohibited under statutory anti-ragging laws. Anyone directly or indirectly participating, abetting, or propagating ragging will face severe punishment, including immediate rustication, police FIR, and criminal prosecution punishable with up to two years of imprisonment and/or fine.

Mobile Phone Usage Policy

The unauthorized use of mobile phones by students within classrooms, academic corridors, laboratories, and library reading halls is strictly prohibited in order to maintain institutional decorum and an uninterrupted learning atmosphere.

3. Scholarships & Financial Assistance

The Government of India, UGC, and University of Jammu provide merit-cum-means financial aid to eligible categories (SC, ST, OBC, Low-income groups, RBA, and Pahari Speaking Candidates). Additional assistance is disbursed through the College Local Red Cross / Student Aid Fund.

Mandatory Criteria for Continuance of Aid:
Minimum 75% Regular Attendance
Satisfactory Moral Conduct
Valid Income / Category Certificate
